For the 3rd Time, Cinch I.T. Makes the Inc. 5000 at No. 1190 in 2024, With a Three-Year Revenue Growth of 431 Percent
NEW YORK, August 13, 2024 – Inc. revealed today that Cinch I.T. of Woburn ranks No. 1190 on the 2024 Inc. 5000, its annual list of the fastest-growing private companies in America. The prestigious ranking provides a data-driven look at the most successful companies within the economy’s most dynamic segment—its independent, entrepreneurial businesses. Microsoft, Meta, Chobani, Under Armour, Timberland, Oracle, Patagonia, and many other household-name brands gained their first national exposure as honorees on the Inc. 5000.
Cinch I.T. Regional Directors Jay Small and Anthony Cometa on receiving the award: “You must enjoy what you do every day, but that requires being intentional in everything. Intentionally design your offering so that it is a win/win for you and the customer. You should find the ‘right’ customers and build a culture that excites you. If you do this, you will be excited to wake up every day.”
The Inc. 5000 class of 2024 represents companies that have driven rapid revenue growth while navigating inflationary pressure, the rising costs of capital, and seemingly intractable hiring challenges. Among this year’s top 500 companies, the average median three-year revenue growth rate is 1,637 percent. In all, this year’s Inc. 5000 companies have added 874,458 jobs to the economy over the past three years.
A Technology Franchise Model Built for the Future
While working as Account Managers for Cinch I.T. of Worcester MA, Jay Small and Anthony Cometa had a “light bulb” moment when they realized that they did not need to be technicians or experienced I.T. professionals to run a successful Cinch I.T. franchise. This was a revelation to Small and Cometa, and it’s what gave them the idea to own a franchise themselves.
Today, Small and Cometa are multi-unit franchise owners of the Woburn, Newton, and Framingham, Massachusetts, territories. Their team provides outsourced managed I.T. services targeted to small and medium-sized businesses. Small and Cometa have already helped many businesses by taking care of all their I.T. needs so that they can focus on running their businesses. Cinch I.T. handles all of their technology needs for one easy-to-understand and predictable price.
Becoming Regional Directors
Small and Cometa were confident in his ability to grow their territory because they already had proven sales skills in a variety of industries. Small and Cometa recognized the massive potential in the technology industry and wanted to secure a foothold in a rapidly growing industry. Of course, going from being a Sales Professional to a Regional Manager wasn’t the easiest task, but Cinch I.T.’s franchise program was there to ensure that Small and Cometa had all the tools and training he would need to make the transition to business ownership.
Cinch I.T.’s Award-Winning Training Program
From training programs focused on business formation, accounting, marketing, business management and many more, Small and Cometa were confident they had the resources available to overcome the challenges of business ownership. Having the Cinch I.T. Woburn “business in a box” franchise program helped them thrive as franchise owners.
Once open for business, Small and Cometa guided clients to make smart I.T. decisions that have reduced downtime. They emphasized that their lack of technical background had eliminated any use of tech jargon. This would allow them a unique opportunity to connect and communicate with clients easily and never talk “over their heads.”

Methodology
Companies on the 2024 Inc. 5000 are ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2020 to 2023. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2020. They must be U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2023. (Since then, some on the list may have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2020 is $100,000; the minimum for 2023 is $2 million. As always, Inc. reserves the right to decline applicants for subjective reasons. Growth rates used to determine company rankings were calculated to four decimal places.
