Southgate at Shrewsbury, a premier retirement community and CinchIT, an IT solutions company has joined forces to donate computers to the YWCA of Central Massachusetts.
James Taylor, Technology Coordinator, YWCA of Central Massachusetts, “The YWCA is implementing new organizational programs and updating other programs as mandated by some of their funders. As such, we have a significant need for newer computers to support these efforts. The donation from Southgate will have a positive impact in that it will noticeably help in providing some of the needed equipment for this year.”
This collaborative effort resulted in a total in-kind donation of $5000.00, with Southgate donating the hardware and CinchIT donating the labor required to prepare the computers.
“We were thrilled to have the opportunity to put these computers to good use”, said Chip Emerson, CEO of Southgate. “It is important that children have access to the tools that will help further their education.”
Michael Clark, Founder and CTO of CinchIT agree “It is a wonderful opportunity to support the YWCA and bring to light the importance of their programs in the community”, he said.
Linda Cavaioli, Executive Director, YWCA of Central Massachusetts “We are so thankful for the donation of computer equipment by Southgate at Shrewsbury. We are also grateful to CinchIT for donating the labor to get these computers ready for use. Donations like these mean we can put more money directly towards programming for all of our services here at the YWCA Central Massachusetts, and further our mission of eliminating racism, empowering women.”
