Business Development Manager
SUMMARY:
We’re seeking a qualified Business Development Manager to extend our reach in the Louisville, KY area through cultivation of new untapped business opportunities and relationships. The ideal candidate will be trusted to dive in, take the lead, use initiative, and help small to medium size business protect their operations from cyber attacks and operate more efficiently with outsourced IT solutions. In this position, the business development manager drives client satisfaction and team efficiency by ensuring all business metrics are addressed appropriately. The business development manager will work closely with the Company’s Onsite Technician to meet or exceed client expectations and appropriately prioritizing escalated service requests..
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Generate new leads, identify, and contact decision-makers, qualify business opportunities, select deals in line with strategies, and facilitate pitch logistics
- Develop and implement outbound sales and business development strategy, sales processes, and structure
- Support deal structure and pricing with business-value analysis, and negotiate prices for proactive bids & proposals
- Maintain and share professional knowledge through education, networking, events, and presentations
- Identify and map customers’ strengths and business needs around network infrastructure
- Research organizations and individuals to find new opportunities and viable income streams
- Report on successes and needs for improvement on sales activity
- Interface with appropriate technical personnel for client problems that cannot be resolved effectively
- Provide accurate reports and metrics to company management on the status and budget of on-going projects and agreements
- Design and maintain process documentation for the service delivery team
- Administration and Management of Remote Monitoring Tool
- Administration and Management of Professional Services Automation Tool
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2+ years of experience as a business development manager selling IT services (preferably direct selling into small businesses)
- Successful track record B2X sales development
- Proficiency in sales forecasting, data analysis, and budgeting
- Experience with design and implementation of a business development/sales strategy
- Adept in developing and maintaining strong relationships with management, staff, vendors and clients of in diverse industries
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Motivated by performance-based earnings
- Valid Driver’s License
- Experience with relevant software applications, tools, and techniques
PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Educational background in business development, economics, finance, marketing, and/or IT
- MCSE/MCSA/CCNA/A+/Network+/Security+ or another IT related certifications
- Experience with cloud computing, disaster recovery, cyber security, network security, IT compliance
- Perceived capacity to exude Personal Credibility and Professional Integrity
- Positive attitude, towards people and problems
- Ability to self-start, work independently and achieve high standards to meet multiple deadlines
- Explicitly proficient communicator, including writing, speaking, editing, proofreading and computer skills
- Above-par working capacity, to work in small and large projects with great attention to detail
- Work effectively with staff in a team-oriented environment with a positive, can-do attitude
